Dear Prof Ripley I am writing to you regarding a query on reporting the results of the repeated measures ANOVA. I am a dphil student from the dept. of Education at Oxford. I have used the repeated measures design to analyse the effects of my intervention.I have a main effect of time(pre and post test) and an interaction effect of time and group and no main effect of group(three levels treatment, alternate treatment and no treatment).
My problem is how do I explain why I do not have a main effect of group. At pre-test all the three groups are similar with no significant difference.
