I have written a book to help new users of R, who are familiar with at least one programming other than R, learn the basics of data analysis in a single day. The book is free and released under the most non-restrictive of the creative commons licenses. There is R code that accompanies the book.

The book is available in eReader formats on Smashwords
(https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/713592) and Barnes and Noble
(http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/just-enough-r-sivakumaran-raman/1126163491). A pretty-printed PDF is downloadable from here: http://www.dropbox.com/s/obhg7e6b5g0926t/Just_Enough_R.pdf?dl=0

Feedback is welcome. I hope the book will be a useful resource for newbies.

Thanks,
Siv Raman
