Hi Everyone,
I am currently using *R version 3.0.0 RC (2013-03-28 r62434) -- "Masked
Marvel"*
I am using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS- the Lucid Lynx.
I downloaded the tar.gz of R 3.1.0 under my Downloads folder.
I changed my directory to Downloads folder and then used following commands
to install the version.
I used
tar -xzf tar.gz
cd R-3.1.0
./configure
make
make check
Now i can see a bin folder under R-3.1.0 which has R.
On the terminal when I use R it still gives me
R version 3.0.0 RC (2013-03-28 r62434) -- "Masked Marvel"

Platform: i686-pc-linux-gnu (32-bit)

How can I use R 3.1.0 version.
I also want to use that version on R studio.
I guess it is just the path issue?
