Dear Rolf,

The problem persists with the function plot.im <http://plot.im>(), or
plot (density ()), similar to with(bei.extra, plot (elev)). This problem
occurs only with my personal machine, to another machine this problem
does not occur. However, when I use another function, such kde2d () in
the MASS package and perform the plot, the graph is obtained without
problem.

Thanks for getting back to me Pablo. I think that we had previously established that image() --- which is what you would use to plot the object returned by kde2d() --- did produce non-blank plots for you when properly applied to "im" objects on your computer. But somehow when image() gets applied inside plot.im() something mysterious --- in fact downright impossible!!! --- happens and no plot is produced.

The mystery remains.

cheers,

Rolf
