Thank you for your reply Stephan, I like to be very thorough and make sure all names are attributed so in the case that I check the url of a package and it lists contributing authors that aren't provided with citation() would it be appropriate to cite it like this:
Smith, J. [pr] and Johnson, J. [cr] (2013). Awesome package name.
