Dear R People: I'm trying to install spsurvey and rgeos in R-2.15.1 on Ubuntu 12.04.
However, I am getting the following: * installing *source* package ‘rgeos’ ... ** package ‘rgeos’ successfully unpacked and MD5 sums checked checking geos-config usability... ./configure: line 1342: geos-config: command not found no configure: error: geos-config not usable ERROR: configuration failed for package ‘rgeos’ * removing ‘/home/erin/R/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-library/2.15/rgeos’ ERROR: dependencies ‘deldir’, ‘rgeos’ are not available for package ‘spsurvey’ * removing ‘/home/erin/R/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-library/2.15/spsurvey’ Do these look familiar please?
