hi, i tried to fit the GED for my sample. when doing this without the package normalp i received a shape parameter p of about 0.5, whereas 'paramp' told me that p is 1 sharp. for a leptokurtic shape p should be in a range of 0<p<2. i don't understand why it isn't possible to implement the GED with a shape parameter less than 1. i'd like to create a q-q-plot with 'qqnormp' with p=0.5. what can i do?
