This isn't reproducible for a few reasons, but notably that you didn't provide data or tell us which vif() function you are using. (There are a few from different packages). Can you clarify which package and see if it can be done with simulated data / post a working sample of your data?
It may just be a bug in RStudio: can you reproduce this in a command line session?
