to get things working and in such instances a title such as ``A function''
    is perfectly acceptable.

    It  looks to me like the OP's editing was done adequately, and is *not*
    the source of the OP's problems.

    Sarah Goslee has already pointed out what at least one of the sources
    of his problems is.
