One is 64-bit and the other is 32-bit. I also see that you have different sets of packages loaded. I would recommend (1) trying with R --vanilla, to make sure that you are starting from a clean session; (2) perhaps, if you're up to it, using traceback() and/or options(error=recover) to try to track the problem a bit farther; (3) contacting the package maintainer ...
