Hello everybody,
I need to have two different versions of R on Mac OS X Leopard and Snow Leopard, namely R 2.12 and 2.8, because I have some packages that don't work properly with one or the other version. How can install them both without having the more recent overwrite on the older one? It seems Mac OS X lets me have only one release.

You may need to build the 2.8 version from sources. I don't think the binaries are supplied for ancient versions.

Thank you very much in advance for your help!Emanuele

I guess we will be having a citation duel. My cite is newer and I would argue more authoritative, since it was written by Simon Urbanek.
