I don't think I understand what the problem is... The code that you provided works just fine without the for loop statement. as for the can't access... The example that you provided doesn't address this. Unless I am totally misunderstanding. R is an interpreted language not compiled. Please, as to the instructions appended to the end of each email, provide a minimal self-contained reproducible example.
