Maura, The following worked for me. Hope it helps. I did a plot, the graphics showed up on my screen. Then I did dev.copy2eps(), the graphics was saved to a file called Rplot.eps.
I tried dev.copy(pdf) or dev.copy(png), but for some reason they generated 0 sized files for me. I didn't figure out what happened for these formats.
