Ah, yes, I forgot about PACKAGES.in. (Which I actually parse in another project.) I guess I was mostly puzzled by the non-removal of the binary package. (Which is just temporary, and it will be removed as soon as 0.6-0 is available for that platform.) Thanks to everyone who replied, including CRAN maintainers in private.
