The manual isn't meant to be a manual in the sense of the thing you get to help you operate your VCR. It is meant more as a reference manual hence the alphabetical ordering of functions. If you want to produce something the guides the user through the use of your package, consider adding a vignette to your package. Details of vignettes can be found in the Writing R Extensions manual.
