It looks like your new to R, welcome to the community. A couple quick notes, first the bug reporting system for the R community is specifically for bugs only, not support issues. The developers of R are quite strict about this. It looks that you've filed a couple of bug reports, whereas a better place to send such queries would be R-help. Second, R Commander, is an add on package, so questions regarding it's use should be directed to the appropriate email list (I don't know it, because I don't use R commander.) The bug tracker, and the developer list that bugs are sent to, are for core R issues. As an R newbie I think you'll find the following sites helpful <http://cran.r-project.org/manuals.html>, <http://wiki.r-project.org/rwiki/doku.php>, and <http://www.R-project.org/posting-guide.html> >> library("Rcmdr"). > > The following message occurred: > "Lade nötiges Paket: tcltk > Error in firstlib(which.lib.loc, package) : > Tcl/Tk auf diesem System nicht verfügbar > Fehler: Paket 'tcltk' konnte nicht geladen werden" > > (in English: Load needed package: tcltk > Error in firstlib(which.lib.loc, package) : > Tcl/Tk not available on this system > Error: package 'tcltk' could not be loaded). > > I'd like to use the GUI instead of working from the shell, so how do I get it > to > run? I'm guessing that the tcltk package isn't available because it hasn't been installed yet. Something similar to install.packages("tcltk") ought to do the trick. type ?install.packages at an R prompt for more info.
