I m trying to establish connectivity between R 2.7.2 & MySQL server 5.1. I have
succeded in retriving single data column(field) from database of MySQL. But I m
unable to retrive whole table. Whenever I fire dbReadTable or dbGetQuery or
dbSendQuery method to retrive whole table R throws error saying R for windows
front end application has encountered a problem and need to close the
application.
I m using RMysql-0.6 and DBI 0.2-4.
This looks like a bug with one of those contributed packages, not with
R. Please send your report to the maintainer.
You might find better luck using RODBC.
