This bug (from the definition in the R FAQ ("If a command does the wrong thing,
that is a bug.") seems to me an inconsistent, but annoying disregard:
plot whatever image you want, e.g.:
hist(rnorm(1000), col = "blue")
When you try saving the image from the window dialog menu: File > Save as >
Png... (PDF..., etc.) in the pop-up dialog appears a 'Save as Type' form with
the Png files (*.png); typing the name of the image file without extension (e.g
image1) will produce a file without automatic png insertion at the end, i.e.,
file name will be image1 vs. image1.png (the 'right' output imho).
