Did you read (a bit in) the "R Administration and Installation" manual? In any case, for a bug report, this did not give enough information (e.g., what version of Unix are you using ?). Please, rather send a *question* to R-devel (in this case) or R-help, rather than producing a bug report, unless you *really* know that something *is* a bug.
