I dont think its feature-complete or well-tested or documented and certainly doesn't deserve a version number anywhere near 1.x, but I did this: http://www.maths.lancs.ac.uk/~rowlings/Software/PythonRserve/ - which I did a while ago and its untested against the latest Rserve versions.
