I'm trying to compile R with the AMD core math library (ACML) on Fedora Core 5 with gcc 4.1.1 and am having difficulty getting R to recognize it. I'm using the file
acml-3-1-0-gfortran-64bit.tgz from the AMD website. On Fedora Core 4 I had no trouble getting this to work (with gcc 4.0.2) but I seem to be missing something now.
