So after simcop2387 in #qemu on irc.freenode.net pointed out how stupid I was being... :) This "issue" is caused by some dumbass user running qemu as root with no DISPLAY environment variable. Apologies for the unnecessary ML traffic. -- Blackace Gentoo Linux Infrastructure Developer
