I also thought that I can do something with the MSceneMessage::kAfterOpen. Maybe something like --> after the scene is opened, make the custom node delete what is selected when it is created? Because when a new node is created, it is automatically selected, so why not just make it delete it self after the scene is opened? I'll keep you posted on any progress.
