Ned Deily <[email protected]> added the comment: Whatever the resolution of this is, it seems to me that this sort of behavior change should not be introduced at this stage of 3.7.x's life. Whether it should go into 3.8.x should be Łukasz's call once the final change is in master and has stabilized.
