Running the test suite with -Wd, we got the warning:

Warning -- warnings.filters was modified by test_warnings
This is how to reproduce:
./python -Wd
import warnings
from test import support
saved = warnings.filters.copy()
c_warnings = support.import_fresh_module('warnings', fresh=['_warnings'])
saved == warnings.filters
# --> False
