hi list

since years i make a software to create my own customized ubuntu based distro called "ubukey" (like uck and co but with graphical chroot...) for the moment i never had problems to keep and restore themes and config thru gconf across user when booting on my live-cds/usb

BUT with gnome-shell cinnamon etc using gsettings/dconf i try to understand how i can export/restore those damn binary .cache/dconf/user file without problems...

exemple:
if i make my live-cd with the same user than the user used to customize my desktop (under chroot....) i have no problems when i boot i have all my theme and config working.. but if it s a different user i get a "normal" default session... bad!

i can export my config with 'dconf dump / >something.txt' and have all keys/values ... right but how can i restore it ?? i looked the gschemas.override too but don t understand how it works ...

to resume how can i export a dconf user profile and be sure to have all the same settings when i create a new user.... ? or how can i override default ubuntu session settings for a gnome-shell/cinnamon etc session ?

sorry for my english if i m not clear !

thanks a lot

++
