For those that have code which needs to run on Windows, 2.x is the only viable option at the moment. I am hoping that by the time this is resolved there will be a bit more documentation (detailed API docs as good as the current one?) and "howto upgrade" guides to make the transition smoother. It seems that at the moment, this is lacking. Please do send some pointers to correct me if I am wrong.
