Hi Peyman, Don't know if I understand your question correctly.
The label can be rotated with set label, this will give you vertical text. http://www.pygtk.org/docs/pygtk/class-gtklabel.html#method-gtklabel--set-angle The notebook tab is just accommodating it's children (label), and not controlling them. Is that what you want?
