Well, if you want to make an application that works on multiple
platforms and does not need 100 libraries to be installed, then you
make it pure GTK. I have been pro-GNOME for a long time even though I
don't use the GNOME desktop. However, lately Gnome has introduced
several annoyance and unfortunately seem to be design by a corporate
committee. I don't like Windows at all but it saddens me to see that
Gnome is starting to include many of the same annoyances. Gnome is not
for me nor kid, but perhaps for my father...
