I wrote up a quick threading "run a command and get the results" program using gui_queue.py (included). I know some people are still having problems with that sort of thing, and I also know some people don't want to use gui_queue.py. But this method works for me, and if you're one of those people having problems, it might be worth checking out. Porting this from non-threaded to threaded took about 15 minutes, and I've only tested it on Windows XP with Python 2.4 (and the latest GTK and pyGTK). gui_queue.py is well tested on OS X, Linux, and Windows though.

I've attached all the files needed (including the .glade). Hopefully it helps someone out. If not, the attachment is just 4041 bytes. :>
