If there's an easy way to install this on Win32, I'll install it on one of my CANVAS test boxes and run it through its paces...

You will need the GTK+-2.4 runtime installer from the gladewin32 project (http://gladewin32.sourceforge.net).
Please remember this an unstable release. It is not well tested on win32. I strongly recommend the stable branch (pygtk-2.2) instead. See my site http://www.pcpm.ucl.ac.be/~gustin/win32_ports/
