What is "Enthought Edition" and why don't you use a standard one?

Could you please deinstall it, install a standard one and see if PyGTK works?

I don't think we support Python-derivates. It can be your-Python-edition
failure, not pygtk. Did you checked "Enthought Edition" e-mailing lists or
user support forums?
