We're happy to announce the R10K 3.1.0 has been released to Rubygems.org. R10K provides the ability to reference environments acted upon in a deploy's postrun script. This should help users integrate the creation of Puppet's type generation into your code deployment. See this FAQ topic[1] for more details on that workflow.
