I think symlinks becomes an edge case or to put it in better terms a JIRA issue. Things won't be perfect out of the gate. This ticket is focused on the type. IMHO something like symlinks is getting more into the provider (where the work actually happens). Add Comment   Puppet / PUP-844 Create basic acl type Create an acl type. It should support basic functionality for describing the desired state of a file/dir in terms of what users are allowed access to the resource. More complex cases should be handled later (protected vs not, inheritance, etc).
