Jason Dennis updated an issue   Puppet / PUP-11816 PE License Software Change By: Jason Dennis The current PE license approach of a text file, needs to be updated. *Requirements* *License management functions* • have no dependency on a remote from network server to provision. • Baked into the PE Server (No cloud—based functionality) • Allow for use with CD4PE/Comply and other modules in the future *Ensure Flexibility when needed* • Create a true-up mechanism for license compliance • Build a bursting capability (4%) - if the license allows • Node Re-paving • Multiple teams in the org. using Puppet *License = Node* • Eliminate Node Hopping • Grace period – Extended capacity for short period of time (not automatically provided) Inside Perforce, Klocwork and others use [Reprise|https://www.reprisesoftware.com/ rlm products /software- licensing license-management .php] and we have an enterprise agreement with them.
