A couple of details: PUP-9323 is not really possible to do in a good way given that many resource types need to read all the parameters and would force resolution of deferred values which works against the desire to resolve just before apply. Worth revisiting in the future as resource framework changes. I think PUP-9254 should be merged as it makes it dead simple instead of having to jump through hoops to do certain things (see that ticket). And PUP-8971 got stuck after it was reviewed as I need help to address what was asked for - also a question about how valuable the feature really is.
