'Twas brillig, and Daniel Mack at 19/07/09 20:26 did gyre and gimble:
Yes, 'bridge' sounds good. This binary will probably have some other duties eventually, though. Let's see. Things that come in mind are supervising the pulseaudio daemon (stopping/starting/reconfiguring it ...). But that's something to be done much later.
FWIW, libpulse should automatically spawn a new daemon if it's needed. e.g. if it's meant to connect to a remote pulse server, it wont spawn one, but if it's configured for a local daemon, it will start one if it's not already running.
Hopefully this code will "just work" but I guess it may need some tweaking. :) Col -- Colin Guthrie gmane(at)colin.guthr.ie http://colin.guthr.ie/ Day Job: Tribalogic Limited [http://www.tribalogic.net/] Open Source: Mandriva Linux Contributor [http://www.mandriva.com/] PulseAudio Hacker [http://www.pulseaudio.org/] Trac Hacker [http://trac.edgewall.org/] _______________________________________________ pulseaudio-discuss mailing list [email protected] https://tango.0pointer.de/mailman/listinfo/pulseaudio-discuss
