No, ACLs are unrelated to SELinux. ConsoleKit uses ACLs all over the place. The proper way to handle this if you use system mode is to either add a group "audio" or similar give it access to the audio device and include the "pulse" user in it. Or, simply add the "pulse" user directly to the ACLs: setfacl -m u:pulse:rw /dev/snd/* /dev/dsp/* or something similar and less brutal.
