Colin does not mention profile switch in his priority list design, at least in http://colin.guthr.ie/2010/02/this-is-the-route-to-hell/ (Have I miss something?) So I feel the a general profile switch stuff does not conflict with but can be a complement to the priority-list-based routing in module-device-manager (m-d-m). If the profile switch can happen before m-d-m routing, the most suitable sink/source in the priority list will become available and help m-d-m routing.
