Hi,
I have an javascript event that causes the data being used for the
range to be changed (ss and se, see below) and I need to recaculate
'value' and update the p element as if the onSlide event has been
called. Here is a snippet of code.

new Control.Slider('ruler_handle','ruler_track',{
onSlide: function(value) {
Details.prototype.loadSegmentInfo();
ss=Details.prototype.segmentStart;
se=Details.prototype.segmentEnd;
v=Math.round((value*(se-ss)+ss));
p.update(v);
}});
// ]]>
