Hi Unnat, As a first step, the CONTRIBUTING.md in the various Prometheus repositories on GitHub (example: https://github.com/prometheus/prometheus/blob/main/CONTRIBUTING.md) contains a lot of good pointers for how to approach contributions in general. There's a few more community & contributors pointers on https://prometheus.io/community/ as well. I guess the most important thing is to either start out small, or if you do have a larger project / change in mind, to discuss it first on one of the relevant community channels (like this mailing list here).
