This has nothing to do with Postfix address verification (which
asks a Postfix delivery agent to find out oif an address exists).
To compensate for a lack of concrete Postfix information in your
initial question, I tried to be helpful by enumerating scenarios
where the Postfix SMTP daemon may trigger a transport_maps lookup
for the MAIL FROM address.
Address verification is one such scenario, but that functionality
was not used in the experiments that you reported here. You can
stop asking questions about Postfix address_verify settings.
It took a few hours of tracing through Postfix to find out that the
sender address queries that you see were triggered by Postfix SMTP
server code that validates (not verifies) the sender address.
What you see is intended Postfix behavior, and that will not be
changed.
