My take is you are using way too many RBLs. I'd suggest
using at MOST three.

I'd tend to agree.

  b.barracudacentral.org

I wouldn't touch Barracuda with a 10 foot pole. This is a policy issue, nothing to do with their current data quality, of which I have no idea.

Their data quality is chronically poor. Their DNS infra was weak when I last tested the DNSBL, often not responding or responding slowly.

They started life out being a spammer. This in itself is enough for me.

Then they tried to sue Vern Schryver, if memory serves.

I do not recall either of those being true, but I'm kinda fuzzy about the late 90s. I do recall that at one point they called their obviously SpamAssassin-derived filtering "proprietary," at a later point they had me down to Ann Arbor for an ops sysadmin job interview that went nowhere, and in recent years they've blocked SMTP outbound addresses used by 2 of the MSPs that I've worked for, despite no discernible spam having come from those addresses.

My non-use of their blocklist is not at all due to their ghosting me after that interview. It would have been hell to commute. The fact that they've blocked IPs whose mail flow I knew to not include any discernible spam. I am not even grumpy about their freeloading on SA.

Then they were a backscatter-o-maton in incredible numbers because
their appliances were configured in a shitty way by default and not
possible to fix.

I DO recall that. My assumption is that they've generally fixed it OR those machines have gone to the dump.

  bl.spamcop.net

Can result in a lot of false positives.

Far fewer than in the past, mostly now theoretically of the consumer behemoths. Most of that is spam anyway for the customers I serve. I haven't had a FP anyone cared about in many years

  dnsbl-1.uceprotect.net
  dnsbl-2.uceprotect.net

UCEProtect are wackos that I wouldn't go anywhere near.

Amen.

  hostkarma.junkemailfilter.com

Barely maintained as the original maintainer kicked the bucket in
2018. Before that, misinformed and backscatter-o-maton.

I don't use that list for Postscreen because it was always late in listing. However, it is my understanding that it HAS been taken over and maintained since Marc's death.

  psbl.surriel.com

One of my choices.

+1.
