I hope a lot of the work to be able to update numpy has now been done. Just a short summary below of what's left.
I don't think it's super urgent to get numpy updated to a newer version at this point. But there are a few nice performance improvements, cleanups and bug fixes that might be nice to have. (1) Diffs for these ports are available on ports@ and I hope to see them through with their maintainers: - graphics/piglit - lang/pcbasic - math/lpsolve - math/py-scipy (2) Diffs for these are still needed, and here I'd like to ask for help from folks (maintainers shown below). Although maybe it's still too early to tackle some of these (like boost and cython): - biology/py-biopython - comms/gnuradio bentley - devel/boost rsadowski, brad - games/fretsonfire - games/singularity - graphics/opencv rsadowski - lang/cython juanfra - print/printrun abieber (3) I've probably missed some other dependencies, but at least this one I understand aja is looking to retire: - x11/py-gtk2
