More specifically for AMD, this is probably related to https://gitlab.xfce.org/xfce/xfwm4/commit/7c00911a556c27c57c9f719c12cfda967016dc28 which stops prefering xpresent on those chips, cf https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16716 Landry
