Hi, I realise this is an old issue, and I can see from the ports list that you are all working hard on the 6.7 release so I don't expect a reply to this thread any time soon.
I just wanted to add that I also have this issue on an amd64 machine with remmina-1.2.30p5 from the binary package (the version in ports looks to be the same or maybe a slightly different revision). I am also connecting to VNC but in my case the server is a Debian 9 (stretch) machine running tigervnc-standalone-server 1.7.0+dfsg-7+deb9u1. Steps I take to reproduce the problem: 1. Launch remmina from XFCE menu. 2. Double-click existing VNC connection profile in main window. 3. Enter my VNC password on the "Connecting to 'host'" window and click OK. 4. Remmina says "Connecting to 'host'" and crashes leaving a core dump file.
