h5py is a thin, pythonic wrapper around the HDF5 library. Tests on amd64: 526 passed, 20 skipped, 3 xfailed, 2 warnings Further tests, for example on sparc64 welcome (recent experience shows hdf5-related ports are always problematic on non base-clang archs)!
