hi, I bought Postal 1 on GOG, downloaded the windows installer as explained in the README file. When I use innoextract on it, it doesn't produce the same result as explained in the README. Lot of files like POSTAL.INI or the res folder get extracted in the current working directory.
I adapted the dos2unix command to run it on ./POSTAL.INI and res/levels/postal\ plus\ realms.ini, it works correctly, but then, I stay in my current working directory, type "postal1", the game starts full screen and display an error: > One or more required files could not be found. > If you added (or removed) a drive to your system after the game was installed, > try putting the CD in another drive (if you have more than one) or re-install > the game. > See code A105 in Postal Help for more information. Using the linux GOG installer, unzip it, go into data/noarch/game/ and execute postal1 and game starts correctly. Not sure how to make use of the windows installer, but the linux one is easy. regards
