Here is a new port, for Perl extension System-Info (version 0.56) (http://search.cpan.org/dist/System-Info/).
From pkg/DESCR: System::Info is a Perl extension aimed at presenting system-related information (such as number of CPUs, architecture, operating system, release data) in a system-independent way. System::Info is not shipped with the Perl 5 core distribution. Please review. Thank you very much. Jim Keenan
