I am using -current, but this bug has been a problem for some time. I emailed the maintainer twice and didn't get a response. Summoning Wars has a game-ending bug in the Jorings Bridge map. Once you enter an event is supposed to be triggered where NPCs talk. On OpenBSD this never happens and the dialog never appears. It locks the view and you can't move or do anything except save and exit.
I tried spamming buttons and clicking all over and managed to reach another area, though it was only a side area the game essentially stops at that town. I tried marking all the quests as completed in the save file, reloading the game, starting a new character, wiping all the settings, starting a multiplayer game, and so on. In this thread others reported the bug years ago. There are several other problems here explained in detail. http://sumwars.org/forum/index.php?&topic=499.0 The developer claimed to have fixed it in 0.5.8 the version in ports, yet people still said it was broken here. http://sumwars.org/forum/index.php?&topic=495.0 OpenBSD 6.2-current (GENERIC.MP) #312: Fri Dec 29 15:25:50 MST 2017 dera...@amd64.openbsd.org:/usr/src/sys/arch/amd64/compile/GENERIC.MP
